The residence, known as the Seyler House, sits on approximately 1.45 acres in one of Los Angeles’ most coveted neighborhoods. Built in 1922 and designed by acclaimed architect Stiles O. Clements, the home has long been celebrated for its Spanish Colonial character, lush grounds, dramatic interiors, and extraordinary list of former residents.
Curry purchased the property in 1993 for approximately $650,000 and spent years carefully restoring its architectural details while creating a home filled with personality, warmth, color, and European influence.
The actor, beloved around the world for unforgettable performances including his iconic role in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, approached the residence with the same theatrical imagination that defined much of his career.
His transformation of the property eventually earned attention from Architectural Digest, which featured the home and Curry’s distinctive approach to design in 1998.
Rather than transforming the residence into something entirely modern, Curry embraced its history. Original wood beam ceilings, stained glass, vintage tile, decorative finishes, and Mediterranean inspired architectural details became part of a richly layered interior that felt collected rather than manufactured.
The result was a Los Angeles home with an unmistakable sense of character.
Curry reportedly drew inspiration from a grand estate he had visited in Ireland, admiring the way generations of objects, art, furniture, and personal details could make a house feel both elegant and genuinely lived in. That philosophy helped shape his Los Feliz residence into something far more personal than a traditional celebrity mansion.
The approximately 4,000 square foot home includes four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, with interiors that remain unusually expressive by Los Angeles luxury real estate standards.

Paul later worked with Commune Design on another renovation of the property in 2019, continuing the tradition of updating the estate while respecting its original architectural identity.
The home returned to the market in July 2025 at just under $10 million. Following multiple price reductions, the asking price eventually reached $7.5 million in August 2026.
Shortly after news of Curry’s death at the age of 80 became public, the listing status changed to contingent, indicating that a buyer’s offer had been accepted while the transaction moved through the remaining conditions required before closing.
For Los Angeles, the potential sale represents more than another multimillion dollar real estate transaction.
