Popping Yolk Cafe brings its Modern American Brunch concept, signature Potted Plant Latte and creative comfort dishes to Melrose Avenue.
Melrose has a fresh brunch destination, and an even bigger Popping Yolk Cafe experience is already on the way.
The cafe at 7267 Melrose Avenue brings Popping Yolk’s Modern American Brunch concept to Los Angeles. It is the brand’s sixth Southern California location, joining cafes in Alhambra, Ontario, Pasadena, Brea and Hacienda Heights. Several more locations are also in development.

Popping Yolk is not trying to replace the brunch classics people already love. Its philosophy is simple: We did not reinvent brunch. We simply crafted familiar flavors in a new way. That idea comes to life through comforting American brunch dishes served with creative flavors, thoughtful details and colorful presentation.
The menu gives guests plenty to explore, from Ube French Toast and Nashville Hot Chicken Benedict to omelets, crepes, salads and hearty sandwiches. Freshly pressed orange juice is a refreshing way to start the meal, while the Potted Plant Latte is the drink that deserves its own moment. The signature latte was created around feelings of comfort, memory and finding a place to belong, making it one of the brand’s most distinctive creations.
The current Melrose cafe offers a cozy indoor setting and does not have a patio. Outdoor seating is available at select Popping Yolk locations elsewhere in Southern California.
This location is only the first chapter of the brand’s plans for Melrose. Popping Yolk is developing a much larger flagship store across the street, which is planned to replace the current cafe. The future space will be designed to deliver a more complete and elevated Popping Yolk experience in the heart of the neighborhood.
Popping Yolk Cafe is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For Los Angeles brunch fans, the current Melrose cafe offers a taste of what the brand does best, while the upcoming flagship points to an exciting next chapter.
