Following her September 18 residency performance near Paris, Dion emerged to find fans gathered outside her hotel. Instead of simply waving and heading inside, the music icon climbed onto a parked vehicle and joined the crowd as they sang her classic French language hit “Pour que tu m’aimes encore.”
Dion removed her footwear and danced barefoot while fans surrounded the area, many holding phones in the air to capture the spontaneous celebration. She clapped along with the crowd and eventually formed a heart with her hands before leaving.
The joyful scene carries extra meaning because Dion has only recently returned to full length concerts.
On September 12, the singer performed her first complete concert in more than six years, beginning a 26 show residency near Paris. Her previous full concert took place before the pandemic, while her later struggle with stiff person syndrome forced her to step away from regular touring and performing.

The comeback follows years of treatment and preparation. Dion has publicly discussed the extensive work required to return to singing, including physical and vocal therapy as she learned to manage the effects of stiff person syndrome.
There had already been signs that Dion was gradually finding her way back to large audiences. She made a celebrated appearance during the 2024 Paris Olympics, but the new residency represents something much larger because it restores the full concert experience that defined much of her career.
